♦ WOMAN CHARGED WITH MURDER i SYDNEY, 27th March. Beeeiving information that a shop ia Surrey Hills was being raided, the police went there and found John Prendergast, aged 23 years, dying in the " yard. He succumbed an hour later in hospital from a bullet wound in the stomach. Mrs. Kathleen Barry, owner of the shop, was arrested and. charged with murder, and three men were captured by the police on charges of breaking and entering. The shooting is enveloped in mystery, and no motive cau be ascribed for the raid on the shop.
