FOOTBALL REPORTS
Reference to tho reporting of football matches wa3 made by Mr. J. J. Eoborts at the annual meeting of the Wellington Football Association on Wednesday. While lie agreed to some extent with the remarks made at the annual meeting; of the Wellington Rugby Union, Mr. Roberta said, ho was of the inoro definite opinion that tho Press was unduly hard in its criticism of players, some of whom took it very much to heart. When papers stated that a certain game was dull, the view might be hold by others that it was a most exciting one.
