(By Telegraph.—Prea» Association.) NAPIEB, Thi ß Day. The Hawkes Bay steam laundry, a j largo wooden building iv Thackeray Street, Napier, was totally destroyed by fire this morning. The family had j a narrow escape after being awakened by a dog and a parrot, both of which perished. Two firemen, were slightly ] injuied and the occupier, Mr. Ho well, had his hand badly cut while escaping. The building -was owned by Captain, Lake, of Sydney. The building -was insured for £2500 in the Sun Office, the plant for £275 in the Sun, and ; £500 in the Eagle and Star. j
