TOWN-PLANNING BOARD
TWO CHANCES | MEMBERS RE-APPOINTED The three years' term, of appointment of some of the members of the Town Planning Board is about to expire, and all except two, have been rcappointed. The only changes are in respect to the nominees of the executive of the Municipal Association. The Mayor of Wellington, Mr. G. A. Troup, succeeds Mr. C. J. B. Norwood, who was Mayor at the time of his appointment, and Mr. T. Jordan, Mayor of Masterton, succeeds Mr. F. J. Nathan, late Mayor of Palmerston North. .Both gentlemen have been appointed on the recommendation of the Municipal Association. The reappointed members are Messrs. J. G. Alexander, appointed ontho recommendation of the Society of Civil Engineers; W. M. Page, appointed on the recommendation of the New Zealand Institute of Architects; A. H. Bogle, appointed on the recommendation of the .Council of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors; Mr. S. Blaekley, appointed on the rccommenda- ! tion of the executive of the Counties' Association; Dr. C. E. Hereus (Dunedin); and Mr. G. P. Newton, appointed on the recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs. Other members of the board who sit ou the board by virtue of their office are the Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. P. A. de la Pcrrelle), wiio is chairman; the Director of Town Planning (Mr. J. W. Mawson); the- Sur-veyor-General (Mr. 11. E. Walshe), the Engineer-in-Chief of the Public Works Department (Mr. T. W. Furkert), and the Government Architect (Mr. J. T. Mair). ■
