Dr. Doris Gordon, the secretary, stated to-day that the obstetrical appeal campaign all over New Zealand could not be closed for several weeks yet. -The Auckland. executive did not anticipate being ready with the provincial assessment until well on in April. Otago was only now opening up committees in the outlying centres. In the Wellington and Canterbury districts, however, the work was more advanced, and tho committees there may be released by 7th or 10th April. The executive officers of the committees, however, must be asked to retain their offices till tho end of April, as in all directions word was being received of a few, donations to come in later in April. The bank account of the local funds would be kept open till the end of April. Early in May all the moneys would be sent to the treasurer of the Obstetrical Society for transmission to the medical school authorities.
