PROPOSED AMALGAMATION

A meeting of delegates of the JN'ew! Plymouth, Hawera, and Wanganui aero clubs is to be held on 3rd April to discuss a proposal for the amalgamation of the clubs in a West Coast Flying Federation on the lines suggested by Mr. T. M. Wilford, when he was Minister of Defence. It is claimed that by bringing tho clubs together in this way they can more easily qualify for the Crovcrnmcnt subsidy of £500 per annum and tho grant of an aeroplane as well as avoid overlapping in regard to pageants. The Manawatu Aero Club lias set up v committee to negotiate with the Palmcrslon North Borough Council and Chamber of Commerce concerning the acquisition of a landing ground, '
