LONDON, 28th February
"If Australia and South America can. fix the minimum rates for fine wool and convince the buyers that these are bound to be observed, the users holding off on a chance of prices falling still lower, ' will buy," said Lord Barnby, of Messrs. Francis Willey and Co., Ltd., wool merchants, of ' Bradford. "Of course the rates must be reasonabla and have a due regard to trade conditions. I do not see why they could not do this in view of the strength of the position. New Zealand and Argentina do not really compete in fine wool. It is a pity that monthly statistics of stocks of top yarn are not available as a guide to the producer." <
