X.Z. ASSOCIATION MEETS
A successful year was recorded! in the report, of the New Zealand Miniature Rifle Association presented to the annual meeting held at Trentham on Wednesday evening. . . . ■ - i
The past year, it was stated, was one; of the-most successful in the history ■• or. miniature shooting under the New Zealand; Miniature Rifle Association, but it was! claimed that more satisfactory results couldi bo shown if -the association'could: induce more clubs to affiliate. The statement of receipts and expenditure showed that theassociation was getting- into a. • healthy state, as the balance "had been'increased during the year. If the- state of affairs continued, the executive would be able to add prizes to the various competitions. The number of affiliated clubs showed a slight, improvement, but it was a long way from satisfactory, in view of..the fact that there were nearly 150 clubs in the Dominion., The report and-statement of receipts; and expenditure were adopted. . The election .of- .officers resulted:—Pat-: ron, the1 Ministex'-bf Defence; vice-patron, Mr. W. S. Wharton; president, Mr. P. W..; Corigreve;"- deputy-president, :.Mr. J. Graham. •Dr. B. Crawford (IhvercargillV and Messrs. W. Fellingham (Wellington)1 and C. J.vNix,.(l'eath ! eT.-ston) were; added; to the list; of--vice-presidents. Honorary; secretary and: treasurer, Mr. 0. Wannell (Wellington); executive, Messrs. H. V. Croxton, 1VB! Goldfinch, Henipleman, W. M'Bain, E. M: Wrigley,.and E. E. Nich'oll, nil of Wellington; honorary auditor, Mr. R.
