SPEEDWAY RACING
TO-NIGHT'S CONTESTS,
With the weather perfect and the track in line order, thero is every prospect ■of outstanding performances being registered at the Kilbirnio Stadium Speedway to-hight,' when the first event of the evening's sport will bo an .attempt by C. Spinks to lower the record established by the other bril-. liant Australian rider, Frank Peaxce, last Saturday. Spinks appears at his best on the local track, and is confident of being able to improve upon his previous times. In. the way of thrilling competition the special points race between Pearce, Spinks, and W. Kilmister promises to provide much to arouse the enthusiasm of spectators. All three are brilliant riders, skilful, daring, and spectacular, and their special contest should be one of the best ever seen here. Eanby, Tonks, and Phillips are to appear in a special match race, and, this, too, should be keen and exciting, as these ridors are practically on a par and have been showing great improvement lately. Handicap events will add to the thrills of the evening's sport, and there ; will be entertaining variety by tho staging of a novelty event. It is probable that Pearce. will be making his final appearance to-night, and the opportunity of seeing this recordbreaking broadsider should not be missed. Other information concerning tho meeting is published elsewhere in this issue.
