INDUCTION SERVICE

CEREMONY AT KELBURN

The induction of the Rev. John Hubbard, M. A., 8.D., took place in Kelburn Presbyterian' Church last night. The service was conducted by the Wellington Presbytery. The Eev. W. E. Milne, of St. Janies's Church, preached the induction seumon, and Rev. R. J. Howie, of St. Andrew's, addressed the. ministerelect and the congregation, in a brief and thoughtful manner.. ■.■■•■ At the close of the service a social was held in the schoolroom, and Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard were given a very hearty and cordial welcome by the . congregation. The speakers were Revs: J. E. Blanchard and B. J. Howie, Messrs. Moore, Eose, and Guthrie. Mrs. Inglis extended a welcome on behalf of the ladies of the congregation. . ■ During the evening opportunity was taken to present Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard .jyith a wedding gift, and in appreciation of his valued services as interim.moderator during the vacancy the Rev. E. J. Howie was the recipient of a gift from the congvegation. There was a very large attendance at both functions, the church being filled-to its limit. „
