POLA AND THE PRINCE
PARIS, 18th November
Clad in black from head to foot, Pola Negri broke down and wept copiously in the ai;ms of newspapermen at Lo Havre, where she disembarked from America. Between sobs she said: "It is sad to return to a land where the only happiness is to- await divorce, but thank God divorce exists." There was another outburst or; grief and then: "I loved Serge greatly and still do." Pola then' assumed a dramatic attitude and facing tho newspapermen she hissed: "All are selfish. Takre everything; give nothing.'-' Still sobbing Pola entered an expeinsivo motor-car and drove off.
Prince Serge was umder no illusions when questioned. He said: "1 expect a divorce shortly. The- sooner the better. " .
