SWIMMING TOUR

(By Telegraph.—Pres9 Association.)

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.

At a meeting of the Canterbury Swimming Centre a notice was received from the New Zealand Council of the itinerary of the Australian* swimmers, N. Ryan and R. Grier. The .date al-!; lotted to Chriatchurch was Monday, 30th December. It was. decided that the council be written to and the date declined on the grounds that it was an impossible day for the success of the carnival ; and also pointing out that if a date after the holidays could bo arranged Canterbury would fall into line.
