RUGBY LEAGUE TRANSFER
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, 4th October. E. Spillane, a well-known Kugby League player, who is five-eighth for the Marist senior team, has signed up to play for the Wigan Club. Spillane is leaving shortly for England.
To facilitate night flying a 7,000,000----candlepower aerial beacon has been erected at Lynn, Massachusetts. It revolves on a pedestal 89 feet above the ground, and. its ten flashes per minute are visible for miles.
