A largely-attended-attended meeting of St. Cuthbert's -branch of the Mothers' Union was held recently at St. Cuthbert's Hall, Luxford street.. In response to an invitation from Berhampore, Mrs. Fry and sixteen members of St. Mark's branch of the Mothers' Union attended. . Theaervico wns-read in St. Cuthbert's Church by the Vicar of Berhampore, the Key. N. S. Barnett, and the meeting then adjourned to tho hall. The vicar expressed.the. pleasure of the Berhampore ladies that St. Mark's ladies were present as their guests, and then introduced Dr. Houghton, who gave a very helpful and inspiring address. < At the close of the meeting afternoon tea was handed round and a pleasant time spent in social intercourse.
