Fletcher appeared, £5, in default- one month's imprisonment- for stealing 7s 6d in money the property ofVasahg Bhikha; Chief -Detective.Lopdell, said that on 22nd May a Hindu went into a bar ofi:an> hotel and pulled out of .his.i pocket a.' handful b£ money to pay for. a drink.. Scott,--on ■ behalf of 'Albert- Osmari, who was,, fined £5, on a charge that being a person. other/than the. licensee, he supplied -\ liquor afterhoursi ■: "It is'not my practice to suppress names in 'cases of shoplifting, and I'm J afraid,l.can't do it in this case," said the Magistrate; when refusing the suppression of the name of Winifred Batchelor, who pleaded guilty tothe theft'of a pound of sausages and- a tin of soupj of a total value of i2s Id, the property of Sidney C. Turner.^ Senior Sergeant Ward said that defendant wentinto complainant's shop, to make, a small purchase, and while the shopkeeper's; back was ' turned stole., the sausage's "and soup. The defendant was fined £2. James M'lntyre Hetherington, for failing to stop his van at the. Bunny street railway crossing, waa fined £1. Failure to renew their radio licenses cost Francis Maui Jacobson, Jack Nelson, Philip Schneideman, land 'Frederick William Webb £4 each, and John Whitworth Russell- 10s. Buying a rifle for another man resulted in Leonard Edward James Nelson being fined £1 for being unlawfully in possession of a firearm. Nelson was ordered to' pay the costs, 10s, on a-charge of delivering possession of a firearm without a permit. ■ - . ■ ■ - .'-■■■ '
