SEATOUN AND PETONE DRAW.

Tho hitherto unbeaten Seatoun team drew with Petone at Kelburn Park, the final score being 3-3. Seatoun were without the services of Kershaw, their captain, and his place was taken by Henderson. Seatoun won the toss, and played with the sun at their back, v The opening stages of the game were evenly contested, and it was not till half-way through the first spell that the first score was registered, a shot from the Petone inside-lett grazing the post and finding the net. Almost immediately afterwards Newtown, the Seatoun full-back, handled in the penalty area, and the kick, which was taken by Penton, made the score: Petone 2, Seatpun 0. Seatoun then attacked strongly, and MTCeen scored with a good ground shot. Petone 2, Seatoun 1. .Seatoun maintained the pressure, and evened the score when M/Kenzie, the inside-left, headed in the ball from a free kick. Before halftime was called Petone scored again, Fentpn, the centre forward, finding the net frpm close quarters. Petone 3, Seatoun 2. In the second spell both teams settled down tp bard work. A good centre from Grimstone gave Seatoun a chance, andthe score was made 3-3 when the ball shot into the net from a scramble near the goal line. No further score was added. Mr. A. E. Caisley was the referee.
