At the lust meeting of the Wellington Education Board the secretary was instructed to obtain information regarding the efficiency of the sanitary service in country schools so that an effort might be made to effect an improvement in those cases where it was shown to be unsatisfactory. The inquiry has special reference- to those cases where there is neither jv septic tank nor a public drainage service. It will be necessary to make individual inquiries of the various school committees before a. report; can he completed.
