SECOND VICTIM
EXPLOSION ON DREDGE

WANGANUI, This Day
Duncan M'Kinnon, one of tho two men injured by tho explosion on Thursday in tho tunnel of tho dredge Kaione, aged 54, died at a late hour last night iv the hospital. Ho was a married man with no family. The other victim was Joseph Cable, chief engineer, who was killed instantly.
Tho explosion caused little damage apart from tho shattering of the cabin. Tho dredge will in all probability leave for. Nelson next week.
A meeting of members of friendly societies will be held in tho Oddfellows' Hall, Lower Cuba street, on Wednesday next, to consider the miestion of relations with the Wellington Hospital Board.
