WESTERN ACCESS

KESOLUTION OF PROTEST

Opposition to the scheme of western suburban access proposed by the City Council is expressed in the following resolution passed at a meeting . of the AVellington North Ratepayers' Association ::—

"That the Wellington North Ratepayers' Association is definitely opposed to the City Council's proposals for a tramway route between Bowen street and Tinakori road; that all measures open to citizens be taken to prevent the proposals as now outlined from being carried into effect: that the association protests against the action of the City Council in withdrawing its programme for -western, suburbs access from submission to a poll of ratepayers and endeavouring to execute the work regardless -of ratepayers' opinion."
