Bagdad, Basra, Bushire, Binder' Abbas, Karachi, Agra, Calcutta, Aky.ab', \ Bangkok, ' Singora, Singapore,- Batavia,,' Sourabaya, Bima, and Darwin. Oil and petrol supplies had been laid down, at the places named, but landings-would' not necessarily be effected at.all.-The route was chosen ■because the Viekers-Vellore, which will definitely bo the'biggest machine over flown to Australia, ■ will need careful handling. • - Despite'its size, its speed- is, not actually fast,-tho cruising range being about 80 to 85 miles I':an hour, as it was built to-lift ami carry heavy loads. It is expected -to? bo ready for tests at the week-eml.; ; ' : '
