CAN THERE BE FIRE?
The' answer to this question is Yes. Pure carbon burns without smoke, the first consuming it' away entirely. Hut if the. substance be other than carbon it will probably consist, at least in part, of some materials that cannot burn, or that do not burn easily, and these ascend as smoke. Charcoal is pure carbon, and may be burned without smoke.
. So is methylated spirit, and in a properly constructed oil or gas lamp there should bts no sniuke fit all.
