SYDNEY, 27th January

Five .youths were competing in an amateur event at the Velodrome cycling races when the leader skidded and all were brought down and sent to hospital, with injuries, none of which, were serious.

Standen carried out his undertaking to ride in the Velodrome professional events last night, and dead-heated with H. K. Smith in the alternate scratch race.
