R.P.N.Y.C. RACES
Light southerly weather ruled on Saturday afternoon for the continuation of the_ Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club's racing programme. A feature of the race' for Jelheoe class craft was the performance of the Clyde, Wellington's Sanders Cup representative, which was well suited by the light conditions, and which finished, nearly smin ahead of the second boat, the Wellesley 11. The four races resulted as follows, handicaps and corrected times beitig shown:— FIRST-CLASS RACE. Marangi (scr), 6hr 13min'l5sec 1 Viola (13min), Chr 18min 9seo 2 The Ailsa (Bmin) and the Windward (3Cmin) did not finish. 'SECOND : CLASS RACE. Linnet (12min), shr 16inin 34sec 1 ! Nanette (lOmin), shr 18min 24sec 2 Mini (scr) 3 The Oyster and the Shamrock did not finish. 18-FOOT-AND-UNDER CLASS RACE. Little Haste (scr), shr 28min 45sec .. 1 Hurrica (Stalin), shr 38min 55scc 2 ; The Banshee (9min) did not finish. i JELLICOE CLASS RACE. Clyde (scr), shr 12min 33sec 1 Wellesley 11. ( 3/£min), shr 16niin 44sec . 2 Wellesley I. (2min), shr 19min 42sec .. 3 The All Black (ser) was fourth, and the Ngaio (4min) did not finish.
