All the centres are sending large teams, and nearly 200 visitors will arrive during next week to participate in the big carnival. Amongst the entrants are all the title-holders. Misses Stockley and Miller, D. Lindsay and L. Moorhouse, Olympic representatives, Norman Dowsett (100 yds champion), and Roy Calder (diving champion), the prominent local champion, W. Cameron, Auckland's star distance swimmer, Or. Bridson, and Canterbury's noted performer, A. Stokes, are a few of the noted cracks who will be competing, and with attractive performances behind them they are -jertain to be well in the picture for championship honours. In the intermediate and junior grades appear the names of some smart performers; and given favourable conditions several new records should appear.
