BRUSSELS, 24th January. Two armed men concerned in a holdup were being pursued on 16th January when they turned and fired, mortally wounding a policeman. They then escaped. The city since has been combed till yesterday morning, when the bandits were discovered on a football ground, which was surrounded. One was captured in the afternoon. The other made a desperate resistance in a garage till tho evening, when, after wounding two policemen, and he himself having been hit by several bullets, ho was captured in a dying condition. Thousands of spectators watched the drama from a safe distance.
