WEDDINGS
A. wedding that interested many j frieuds took place at St. Paul's pro- ! Cathedral last night, when Isabel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archibald M'Laren, of Wellington, was married to James,: son of Mr. H. Lockie, also of Wellington. The Yen. Archdeacon Johnson conducted the cereniony. The brido wore a gown of white lace and silk tulle, with diamante trimming. Her veil was of Brussels lace, , and long enough to form a train, it being arranged over.her head.with a Russian coronet of the lace finished with orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white flowers and ferns. The train, was borne by two little children, Margot Woolley and Alistair Lockie, the former, wearing white taffetas, the latter a white silk suit. . Four bridesmaids attended, Misses C. Stowart, Invcrarity, Coleman, and Thwaites. Miss Stowart wore bluo taffetas hand painted with pink roses, and. finished with pink taffetas and silver lace, Miss Invorarity was in blue silk net, finished with pink and silver: and tho younger girls wore 'lemon and pink taffetas respectively. AH wore hats to match, banded with velvet, and carried bouquets to tone with their frocks. Mr. A. Brown was best • man, and Mr. J. Wheeler groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was hold by the bride's parents at their homo in Sydney street, whero Mrs.. M'Laren received tho guests wearing a gown of. black lace and georgette and hat en suite. She curried a. bouquet of roses. Later the bride and bridegroom left for a tour, tho bride wearing a costume in cocoa shade aud hat to match, with white fox furs.
