Three Indian officers and eight cavalrymen of the Pooiia Horse, an Indian cavalry regiment, were killed and many . wounded by Air Force "'planes whilo flying practice was being'carried; out over a bombing area. The pilots saw what they believed was a white circle, a regulation land sign, but actually it was the white- headgear of the cavalrymen. They dropped three bombs in the midst of the troops. Many horses were killed, or wounded.
