M. Forgeot (Minister of , Public Works) says he can sea no reason why tho undertaking should not be carried out as soon as arrangements can be made with tho French Submarine Railway Company. This subsidiary of the Northern Kailway still holds the charter for the construction of the tunnel. All earlier provisions for subsidies fen; the work have expired.
