WAIMATE, This Day.

James Staekpoole, a single, man aged 65, waa found, dead in his hut last evening with his throat cut and a razor in his right hand. . The conditions indicated premeditated suicide, which, according to a doctor, occurred eighteen hours previous to the finding of the body. At the inquest to-day the District' Coroner, Mr. G, Dash, returned a verdict of suicide wliile of unsound mind. . ' .
