SYDNEY, 14th January. The Coroner-to-day inquired into the death of Nbla . Bowley, killed at the bottom of a precipice at .Echo Point, Katooniba;, early on New Year's morning. .

Oyril Thompson, brother-in-law of the deceased, deposed that he drove a car from Sydney to Katoomba on New Year's Eve, the party consisting of the deceased's brother and sister, two young men, and Nola. A dozen bottles of beer and whisky were in the car. The party danced in La Plaza. Salbon. at Echo Point till 2 a.m. Nola retired with a man. She was later discovered in an intoxicated condition, arguing and crying 'alternately. A free light occurred among the young men over Nola, who was seen to climb over the guard rail at the Echo Point look-out and drop over.the cliff, nearly 200 feet. Thompson was' of opinion that the girl must have obtained liquor from the others while outside the saloon.

The Coroner returned a'verdict that Nola had committed suicide through" temporary mental derangement, caused by partaking of too much liquor.
