Tlie anxiety in connection -with the auxiliary schooner Huia, which. . wasnearly a week overdue, at Greymouth from Dunedin, was relieved when the. vessel-arrived safely at her destination last' Tuesday. ■. : . '
The Huia, which is in. command of Gaptam Monaghan, left Dunedin" 'Ssitb a full cargo of explosives for Grey-" mouth on Monday, 31st December, and was expected at Greymouth about:2nd January. An engineer, Mr. A. Tidbury, who was to join the vessel at Greymouth, arrived overland some days ahead of her. She passed Cape Farewell oii'oth January, .and then the engines broke down, obliging the schobner to sail the-rest-of the way ttf port, bhe encountered head winds, • and put well out to sea, not' making the roadstead until Tuesday evening.. .
