DE LUXE THEATRE.
There is a good laughter programme at tho Do Luxo Theatre, where "Tho Patsy," a story of homo life, in which tho love affairs of several members of the household, particularly of Patricia, provide nearly all tho fun. With Marlon Davles in tho title role and a large cast of clever players in support, together with some excellent settings, littlo is left to be desired, and tlipso who wish for humorous amusoment certainly get it. Tho plot deals with the love airairs of Patricia Harrington, the rather plain littlo daughter, who has most of tho unpleasant taslcs of houso put upon her, and Is a regular Cinderella. Thero are several other good pictures on the programme. Princess Te Puea and her Maori maids and warriors enter upon their second week, their popularity being us great as ever. Their hakas and rhythmic dancing, together with melodious singing, Is again a star turn, tho most effective Item being that which depicts tho Tainui canoo, supposed to have first brought the Maoris to tho shores of New Zealand. An exhibition or play with a spear and other items dealing with tho life of tho Natives in their own centres provide an entirely satisfying contribution to tho programme. The music Is bright and tuneful. Reginald Denny's latest . success, "Good Morning, Judge," will commence, showing at tho De Luxe Tiicatre on Friday evening nest with a matinee on Saturday at 2.30. This comedy Is regarded as the best the popular star has made. Denny's pictures usually havo hundreds of new laugh situations, but his new production may bo credited with having outdone tho others. Tho supporting programme Includes a splendid cartoon and latest International News, Orchestra De luxe, and The Wurlitzer.
