MISSING GIRL
SKELETON IDENTIFIED
(By Telezraph.-Press Association.) CHRISTCHUECH, This Day. On 22nd January, 1927, Irina Lorraine Timins, aged eight and a half years, disappeared from her parents' home at New Brighton, and although diligent search was made the missing child was never seeu again. On 31st July, 1028, a party of boys found the skeleton of a child partly covered by drifting sand at an isolated spot about a mile aud a half from the bench. At the inquest to-day the evidence tendered 'satisfied the Coroner that the remains were those of the missing child, Irma Timing, and he gave a verdict accordingly, adding that there was no evidence as to the cause of death. Identification was proved Ijy a luck of hair and malformation of the teeth. The child had been delicate and was subject to lite, and it was not unusual for her- 1o stray from home, returning later. This day she did not return. No clothes were found on the skeleton, but it was suggested by the Coroner that tiiis subnormal child might have taken off her clothes at night. Medical evidence was that there were no injuries apparent to show the cause of death.
