GRADED PRODUCTS
THEIR VALUE IN BRITISH MARKETS
Australian I'rcss Association. (Heceived 7th September, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 6th September. Dr. J. S. Gordon, Secretary of Agriculture, North Ireland, presiding over tho Agricultural Section of the British Association in a paper on the Livestock Industry, eulogised the legislation of NewNew Zealand, Australia, South Africa, and many foreign countries insisting on the grading of animal products. These countries wore all Britain's competitors. By grading they were able to put on the British markets animal products so uniform in quality and even in weight that they had obtained a reputation for a reliable standard article whwu had won the confidence ol the public to such an extent that the consumers frequently insisted on having certain products of these countries in preference to similar Homo products, particularly iv the ease of New Zealand lain!) and butter, Canadian (.'licese. Argentine beer and Danish eggs.
