The. following forecast was Issued at 9 ».m. to-day for the ensuing 24 hours:— Winds—Strong west to nortb-west winds to gales uorth of Wcstport and Kaikoura; southwesterlies theneo southwards, and change to south-westerly gradually extending over remainder of Dominion. Barometer—Rising. Seas—Rough generally in New Zealand waters. Tides—Good generally. Warning signals for southerly gales are exhibited at Capo Maria Van Diemen, Tlrltiri, Castlepoint, Capo Campbell, Stephen's 13----laud, Farewell Spit, and the Nuggots.
