"STUDENT PRINCE" COMPANY VISITS PORIRUA
■ '. ■ ■ :—♦ :— ' • Members of "The Student Prince" Comic Opera Company visited the Porivua Mental Hospital ■on Tuesday afternoon last and gave an excellent concert, .which was thoroughly appreciated by the patients, one of whom proposed a hearty vote of thanks to"the visitors. Mr.. v George Gonyngham replied on behalf of the company, and the visitors were afterwards entertained at afternoon tea by the hospital staff. . Following was the programme presented:—Piano and • violin duet, Miss Jurs (piano) and Mr. Podonqski (violin)," soprano solo, Miss'•JeanBrunette; tenor solo, Mi*. Ray Carey'; soprano solo, Miss Lois Bvans; monologue,' Mr. Victor Haiues; bass solo, Mr. David Graham; violin solo, Mt\ Podonoski;, ..tenor solo, M. Paul da Caleaiix; mezzo-soprano .solo, Miss Nellie Judges; comedy scene ("The Outcast"), Miss Jean Brunette and Mr. John K. Finn,-'... Miss. Jurs was the accompanist.
