AIR CRASH AT CROYDON
GIRLS' FATAL JOY RIDE MACHINE ON TEST BiStlsh Official Wireless. * (Beceined 14th July, 10.30 a.m.) KUGBY, 13th July. An Imperial Airways machino crashed while undergoing a test flight after overhauling;, near London to-day, and four of the, aerodrome staff were killed. They included a member of the Aeronautical Inspection Staff, named Hall, and iwo girl typists, employed at the aerodrome, who had requested a flight. The pilot, Captain Spafford, and another emjployee, were also injured. The machin«3 was not one of the regular air liners, bmt was a Bmall single-engin-ed biplane, occasionally used for conveying excuss freight.
