(Eeceived 14th July, 11 a.m.) • ' ■■•■•"•■ LONDON, 13th July. - The majority report of the Special Committee inquiring into the Savidge case, accepts the police version of the Scotland Yard interview, especially as to alleged improprieties, but \ recommends changes in the procedure. Professor Lees-Smith's minority report accepts Miss Savidge 's version, and considers that the episode discloses perils, to civil liberty. : The next stage is the Home Secretary's promised inquiry into police methods generally, It is gathered that it is most likely that a Eoyal Commission will be appointed, instead of a departmental committee. It is understood the inquiry will extend into the police system, not only in London, but throughout the country. It will be'the greatest of the kind ever held, being comprehensive arid ruthless.
