CHEERS FOR FRANCE
STUDENTS DEMONSTRATE , COLLISIONS WITH POLICE (Received 31st May, 12.30 p.m.) BELQEADIj, 30th May. Despite severe' precautions, further anti-Italian demonstrations took place in the leading cities. At the National Theatre, Belgrade, those in the gallery were, chiefly students, They cheered France and made hostile cries against Italy, The Foreign Minister (Dr. Marinkqvitch) was occupying a box with the French Ambassador. They immediately quitted, the'theatre. The police dispersed the demonstrators outside, and several arrests were made. The rector has closed the University for three days owing to collisions with the police. Mounted gendarmerie charged demonstrators' at Sarajevo,-arresting 25.
