ANOTHER GROUND
WELLINGTON COLLEGE PEOPOSAL The proposal to construct another football ground and to complete the basement of the Memorial Hall at Wellington College were mentioned by the headmaster of the college (Mr. W. A. Armour) at the annual meeting of the Old Boys' Association last night. He outlined the work that lias already been, done by members of the school and their friends, and said that although he recognised the work the old boys had done in connection with the Memorial Hall, ho would be glad of assistance from the association. He said it was proposed to hold a big carnival towards the end of September to raise funds. 'Mr. R. Darroch said he had made inquiries at the Education Department with regard to a subsidy for the ground, and had been informed that a request i'or a subsidy would be favourably considered. The committee of the association is to elect seven members to the carnival committee.
