(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, 30th May. Another victim of the recent gulo is the small wooden steamer Chelmsford, owned by the Northern Company, which has been lying at anchor in Shoal Bay for the last six years. Apparently tho strain caused by the heavy .seas proved too much for her, and on Monday afternoon she was reported to be sinking. As she was moored in shallow water, there was no difficulty in beaching her, and yesterday the company's steamer Daphne was dispatched with a salvage pump to pump her out. The Chelmsford was built in Sydney in 1886, and has belonged to. the NotUiern Company since 189-1. She is a vessel of 122 tons.
