' (Received 3'oth May, 10.30. a.m.) ' VANCOUVER, 29th May. • A message from Chicoutijni, Quebec, states that a big dam, which was holding back a million logs for tea days against heavy pressure of flood-waters from Lake St. John, gave way .on Tuesday, and lumber worth a million and a half dollars L sweeping down the Petit do Charge River. The flood situation at Robervale is extremely; g'ra/ve, and several Quebec towns are entirely under water and' cut off from the outside world. 1 (Received 30t'h May, 12.30 p.m.) QUEBEC, 29th May. Later reports deny, that -the log boom was broken.'
