ALASKAN LANDING CONFLICTING BELIEFS Australian Press Association. I LONDON, 29th May. • Tho "Daily Mail's" Oslo correspondent states that faith is placed in the report that tho Italia landed in Alaska, and preparations are being pushed on for relief expeditions.'The base ship Citta di Milano, owing to ice obstructions, is returning to King's Bay, but a Norwegian airplane, piloted by Riiscr Larsen, has left for Tromso. Hocl expresses the opinion that No-bHe's-party will bo safe if they landed on the ice to the east, because the drift is southwards, and will survive till the autumn. But if driven west of Spitsbergen they must bo gravely in danger. He and Amundsen scout the Alaska story. The Italian Government has charter-' od tho wooden steamer Braganza, which will sail for.
