RACEHORSE DESTROYED
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. Levensido had to be destroyed, at Ellcrslie this morning owing to' fractur- ' ing a thigh while schooling. Bidden by G. Holland, ho was being sent over tho hurdles in the centre and" jumped tho first safely, but approaching' the second he swerved off and jumped over the course railing, with the result stated. Levenside, who was owned by Mr. Norman Wade, Auckland, was trained by W. Patterson at Matamata, and was a six-year-old gelding by Thurnham from Spinster. He won his division of the Maiden Plate at Avondale in-the spring, while he .was placed on three other occasions.
