LUCK IN A LOTTERY
(A.P.A. and "Sun.") (Received 9th March, 2 p.m.) BERLIN, Bth March. A poor teacher in Baden, who bought a lottery ticket and kept it secret from his wife for fear of being henpecked for his rashness won £25,000 in the State lottery. For twenty years the teacher had taken eighth-share tickets, but this year he was tempted to plunge. There was a sensation when the result was known, as it is rare for an individual to win the whole prize with a single ticket.
