THE YPRES STRUCTURE '... ■' ■ ■ ' /■ (From "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON", 24th December. Lieut.-General Sir W. P. Pulteney writes as folJows to "The Times" in regard to the Yprcs Memorial Church:— " The foundations of the Ypres Memorial Church, as well as the school which is being built by Etonians, are now practically completed, and: progress has been made with the walls of the latter. . ■. '"• ■ .-■.,.,■ ••: : "To prevent the designs of the interterior of the church from being incongruous the committee has been guided by Sir Reginald Blomfield's plans and advice. Owing to climate and want of light, no stained^glass windows are being used, nothing but plain glazing with shields or badges. The east window has been given by the Guards Division, and the west by the Third Corps in conjunction with the 4th and 6th Divisions; j the large hanging cross .shown with the 1 east window has been given by the 23rd Division. One of the eight windows has also been given. • It is hoped that eventually all the equipment for the interior; of the church may be given by regimental units or individuals as memorials. - ' ' . :. ■■■■•■.'■ ./'Etonians have provided'the money to build the school, and we have sufficient money to complete the fabric of the church, but another £1600 is required to build the parsonage, and thus complete the scheme,'- "..
