FURTHER REMITS PASSED
Further remits were carried, as under, by the annual conference of the New Zealand Poultry Association yesterday:— "That the Government bring down regulations to standardise pollard and poultry foods." ... "That the Government be asked to allow the King . Edward Barracks, Christchurch, to be rented on a cheap basis for the annual poultry show." "That the New Zealand Poultry Association arrange ■with' the Department of Agriculture for a conference to be called of all sections of the poultry industry for the revision of the Dominion poultry standard." ■ "That the Department of Agriculture be requested to approach the Hon. Minister of Eailways, asking that show poultry pens be classified at a more reasonable rate than at present, 84s lOd per ton." "That: the" Government be asked to grant "the South Island New Zealand Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Association £100, to provide championships for poultry at shows throughout the South Island." "That the association ' approach the shipping companies with a view to getting freights reduced on poultry imported for breeding purposes."
