ACCIDENTS

Roy" Kiernan, aged 17, of .397, Karaka Bay road, had his left thigh fractured when, he was knocked off his bicycle- in Kent terrace by a motor-lorry at .5 o'clock last night. He was taken to the Hospital by" the City Ambulance, and is reported to-day to be progressi- fe - favourably. Eileen Harris, aged 18, who lives at 24, Lome street, off Cambridge terrace, was taken to the Hospital shortly after 7.30 last evening by the City Ambulance, suffering from a broken nose, a badly bruised face, and injuries to her knees. She was pillion-riding in Ballena Bay on a motor-cycle, which skidded and threw her to the ground. She is doing as well us can be expected. Leonard Taylor, aged twelve months, who was admitted to the Hospital on Tuesday, suffering from severe scalds on the face, neck, and chest, is reported to-day to be still in a fairly serious condition. . Mrs. G-. Stafford, 158, Main road, Wadestown, was removed to the Hosrjital by the City Ambulance yesterday I morning, suffering from a ricked back; She fell from a balcony, a distance of about twelve feet, and had been lying helpless on the ground for a considerable time before she was discovered. She is progressing satisfactorily.
