(Sp«l4l to "The Evening Pest.") ; AUCKLAND, This Day. i Morbid curiosity drev^ a crowd to the Court this morning, when Allan George Norgrove, of 13, Sussex street, Grey Lynn, who gavd himself up to the police yesterday afternoon stating that he had "done something to his sister-in-law," appeared before tho Magistrate, Mr. M'Kean. He was charged with the murder of Christina NorgrbVe on 7th March. The accused is single, a New Zealandef, age 27, and a butcher by occupations Ho was remanded till 15tli March. :. Ab the prisoner -was about to enter the vnh his brother-jn-law (married to Norgrovo's sister) stepped forward and endeavoured to : 'embrace him, but was restrained by the V:. police escort. . . ■ Prior to the formal reading of the murder charge, Noifgi'ove Was taken to ... a small upper court room, where he coii- , teMßcd id low tones with a constable , until he was summoned to appear in . the Coroners! office, where details of identification of tho dead Woman were " attended to. "the Cbi'bner (Mr. M'Kean) .stated that he had viewed the body yesterday. Ho adjourned the inquest .. until Thursday Week.
