AUSTRALIA BOUND
HINKLER REACHES ROME SOLO IN LIGHT 'PLANE (A.P.A. and "Sun.") LONDON, 7th February. Bert Hinkler, the Australian airman, who left Croydon at 6.45 this morning for Australia in a light Avro airplane, fitted with many special devices of. his own invention, arrived at Home at 8.30 the same night, after flying three hours in the darkness.
